Hungry Hill brings great Bluegrass to the Mermaid Imperial Performing Arts Centre.

Hungry Hill will bring its unique brand of bluegrass music to Windsor on Saturday,           April 26/08 at 8 PM with a show at the Mermaid Imperial Perofmring Arts Centre on Gerrish Street.  Hungry Hill is a contemporary bluegrass unit with a focus on original material.  Based in the Yukon, Hungry Hill features five seasoned musicians with a desire to create a fresh sound while staying true to the roots of bluegrass and old-time music.  Lush vocal harmonies resonate from three singers around one microphone in the traditional acoustic setting of old time music.   Hungry Hill invites audiences into an intimate evening of original and traditional musical offerings.  2003 borught his band together when performing at the Kluane Mountain Bluegrass Festival.  The synergy created up in the Yukon mountains has moved forward with the combined songwriting efforts of each member of the band.  Juno award winning producer, Bob Hamilton, guides the knitting of voice, mandolin, fiddle, resophonic guitar, banjo, guitar and bass to create a believable and honest sound of both recorded music and live performance.

The performance is sponsored by Chuck Porter, MLA, Brison Developments, Soignee and AVR/Magic 94.9.  Tickets are $15 ($12 for students) and are available at Moe’s Place Music Sales in Windsor.
