JUNE 20 AND 21, 2008
UPDATE

Our theme this year:  60 Years and Going Strong submitted by Amelia George, Grade 6,  Miss Langille’s class.  CONGRATULATIONS Amelia., you win unlimited rides at the fair and you and your parents have our Saturday supper on us at the fire hall.  We had several runners-up and they will be contacted by the department to pick up their prizes.  Thanks to all those who entered.

Just a reminder to all our generous supporters who operate businesses in our district – Ronnie and Dawn will be making their rounds again this year asking for your generous support and, as in past years, you will receive a tax deductible receipt.  Any new business that would like to participate please contact the fire department at 866-2828.  Please be generous as we could not present our extravaganza to the community without you.

The Midway is CONFIRMED – Ferris Wheel, Scrambler, Tilt-a-Whirl and The Octopus, as well as our usual fun kiddies’ rides.

Fireworks that will blow your socks off CONFIRMED

Dance tickets at $7.00 per person will soon be available from the firefighters.  Music by a fantastic DJ.

Sparky will be in our parade and he invites all the boys and girls to decorate their bikes and doll carriages and join him in the parade.  Lots of nice prizes up for grabs.

It’s a done deal this year.  Not only will we have our famous Hamburgers but Cheeseburgers and Turkey Burgers as well!

We will need workers.  Please call the department 866-2828 or contact us at the e-mail addresses below.

The department is asking all the residents to please canvas your employers for donations for our event.  We will arrange pickup if needed.  Remember, nothing is too big or too small and it’s for a great cause.

There is a rumour that Chief Todd Swinamer and the Board of Directors will be on the Dunk Tank dressed like never before, and hopefully never again, so warm-up those pitching arms!

The department wishes to thank Direct Signs (Randy Benedict) for his generous support of time and energy in making our “sponsors” sign board.

                                                         SEE YOU NEXT MONTH
