1. Sometime just after 12 midnight Friday, May 29th, two unidentified teenage males
pulled out the fence around the small garden at the front of Uniacke District School
and then urinated on the front doors of the school and walked off.
When this report came in from the RCMP it was all we could do not to burst
out laughing at this ridiculous activity. Certainly boredom is creating a lot
of “activities” by our young people but this one is the saddest. What a
ridiculous waste of time!
2. Saturday, June 6th between dusk and midnight unknown persons stole solar
lights/lawn ornaments and several plants from outside a residence on the Hartville
Road, St Croix. Several lights were later found smashed on the street as well as
recyclables thrown on the street. This is a sad indication of lack of regulated
activities not only in our community but neighbouring communities as well.
Why bother expending the energy?
3. It was reported to us that on May 29th “someone” travelled along the East
Uniacke Road and out onto the Beaverbank Road removing the majority of the
speed signs. Some were found in the ditches, some were found face down on the
soft shoulder and others were gone completely – poles and all. We appreciate the
efforts of this unknown “assistance” offered to DOT but it is really not necessary.
Please leave this kind of work to the people who know what they are doing.
4. Break, enter and theft from a residence on June 1st between 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
while owners gone to work. Residence located in East Uniacke. Front door kicked
in and two registered rifles and other items stolen. No suspects to date.
5. Black 2004 Dodge SX car stolen from Mt Uniacke
6. Red 1999 Volkswagen Jetta parked in Windsor. Person broke into vehicle and
stole a purse while owner went for a walk. Just another example why the
trunk of a vehicle or under one of the seats would be a better place to put
something rather than in plain sight. What they don’t see they won’t
waste their time “thinking” there “might” be something to take.
We have many, many, many new residents in our community and it’s hard to
know them all but it’s very important for everyone to know we must ALL
participate.
