The Chignecto-Central Regional School Board invites applications from NEW APPLICANTS for TEMPORARY SCHOOL BUS DRIVERS for the EAST HANTS AND UNIACKE AREAS.  Experience dealing with children would be an asset. Placement in temporary positions could lead to permanent employment.   

Applicants must:

-          Possess a valid N.S. Driver’s License;

-          Provide his/her Driver Abstract, which can be obtained from

      the Registry of Motor Vehicles

Prospective candidates will be required to successfully complete the School Bus Driver Training Program and a School Driver Evaluation (conducted by Board Staff), as well as obtain a Class 2B License, with Air Brake Certification, (conducted by the Registry of Motor Vehicles), before commencing employment in any position.  Successful applicants will be contacted to provide a Child Abuse Registry Form and a Criminal Records Check. 

Interested applicants must complete and submit an “Application Form” available at any Board school/worksite.  Applications will be received by the Human Resources Services Department, Chignecto-Central Regional School Board, 60 Lorne Street, Truro, N.S.  B2N 3K3.  Deadline for receipt of applications is Friday, July 3, 3:30 p.m. (office closure time) 2009.  NO FAXES PLEASE.
