Take notice that the Council of the Municipality of East Hants will hold a public hearing regarding the following two proposals:

 

Municipal Planning Strategy & Land Use By-law Amendments

Amendments Required to Implement the ICSP

 

The purpose of this proposal is to update the Municipal Planning Strategy so that The Official Community Plan may be adopted as the Integrated Community Sustainability Plan (ICSP).  Proposed amendments include the addition of a vision statement to the MPS and amendments to Section 14.2 Future Municipal Projects and Studies.

 

Land Use By-law Amendments

Regarding Sandwich Board Signage Regulations

 

The amnendments would change sandwich board signage regulations by permitting sandwich board signs in all commercial zones without requiring a development permit.  LUB regulations regarding the size and location of the sandwich board signage would still have to be followed.

 

The hearings will take place at the Municipal Office Building, 2361 Highway 2, Milford, on Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at 7:30 PM.
