Hi!   It’s already February,.  Thank goodness spring is not too far away.

I would like to briefly mention a new RCMP Program called

“Parent Alert”   What’s Influencing Your Kids?

This program provides parents with accurate and helpful information about t

hree issues that are of concern to parents as it relates to teens:   Substance

Use (drugs and alcohol), the internet (Facebook, etc.) and gangs.

This program also speaks on parenting in general and provides parents with t

ools and tips that may strengthen their relationship with their teen and i

ncrease your confidence in dealing with the tough issues that arise.

The following sessions have been booked at the Avon View High School

cafeteria in Windsor and all parents are encouraged to attend.

Wednesday, April 7th, 7:00 pm

“Communicating With Your Teens”

Wednesday, April 14th, 7:00 pm

“Alcohol/Drugs – Substance Abuse”

Wednesday, April 21st, 7:00 pm

“Internet Safety”

Wednesday, April 28th, 7:00 pm

“Gangs”

Each session will be approximately 1 hour with a question/answer session at t

he end.
